Some Rangers fans were thrilled by Borna Barisic’s call-up by Croatia.

Rangers defender Borna Barisic has been called up to the Croatia squad – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter expressed their delight at the news.
The 25-year-old has been included in a 25-man squad for upcoming matches against European giants Portugal and Spain.
Croatia finished as runners-up at the World Cup in the summer and the Gers left-back will have the likes of Luka Modric, Ivan Rakitic, Ivan Perisic and Dejan Lovren as teammates.
Barisic already has three senior international caps for Croatia, but hasn’t represented hasn’t represented his country since May 2017.
The attack-minded full-back is now back in the fold at international level and looks like he could be in for a big season at Ibrox.
He completed a move to the Scottish giants this summer to link up with Steven Gerrard’s side and has made a positive impact so far.

Barisic’s two Rangers appearances have been in comfortable victories over St Mirren and Kilmarnock, and he now looks like becoming a permanent feature in the starting XI on the left flank this season.
