Newcastle United should plot a move to sign centre-forward Alfred Finnbogason.

Newcastle United supporters have had a frustrating time so far this summer, as they wait for the club to sign a new centre-forward.
The Magpies clearly need a new option in attack going into the next campaign and should perhaps consider drawing up plans for Alfred Finnbogason from German club FC Augsburg.
The 29-year-old was reportedly on their radar back in January and could be the perfect solution to Rafael Benitez’s problem area.
Finnbogason was considered Newcastle in the previous window and Benitez discussed making a last-minute move, according to the Chronicle.
The North East club should be back on his trail this summer and they are even due to play Augsburg on 4 August in a pre-season encounter.

Finnbogason is the type of player that could breathe new life into the attack at St James’ Park, with his pace and power something that could see him hit the ground running.
He did manage to net against Argentina during the World Cup for nation Iceland and has proven himself to be a decent finisher during his career.
The centre-forward managed 12 goals in just 23 appearances for Augsburg last season and previously netted 59 times in 70 games for Dutch outfit SC Heerenveen.
