Some Newcastle fans are not buying the club’s reported interest in defender Nicolas N’Koulou.

Newcastle United are reportedly one of the teams interested in Torino defender Nicolas N’Koulou – and the club’s supporters are very sceptical about whether a deal can actually be completed.
The Magpies are one of the three teams that are interested in the Serie A centre-back, according to L’Equipe.
The report details that West Ham and Sevilla are also keen, with the latter already seeing an initial turned down by Torino.
Rafael Benitez’s side have signed Kenedy on another loan deal from Chelsea this summer, while goalkeeper Martin Dubravka and midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng have also joined on a permanent basis.
N’Koulou only completed a permanent switch to Torino this summer after impressing on loan and is renowned as a no-nonsense defender.
The 28-year-old centre-back has never featured in the Premier League before, but has the physical attributes to suit it and is also a Cameron international.

A selection of Newcastle supporters have responded to the N’Koulou links by stating there is very little chance they could snap him up.
They have grown frustrated with the club’s lack of spending in recent times and are desperate for owner Mike Ashley to get his cheque book out.
