The Whites are currently top of the Championship table after four wins in their opening five league games, while they also saw off Bolton 2-1 in the EFL Cup.
Saiz is a permanent fixture in Leeds’ starting XI, but he is yet to score in the league and has just one assist under his belt.
The Spaniard’s only goal so far came in the cup and it is a surprising stat when you consider Marcelo Bielsa’s free-flowing side have netted 16 goals in six games across all competitions.
The advanced play-maker has been influential despite his lack of end product and a purple patch in front of goal is surely just around the corner if he continues in the same vein.
Saiz, 27, has shown he helps Leeds push up the pitch with his attacking intent and dribbling, while he also creates space for others.
Kemar Roofe (four), Mateusz Klich and Pablo Hernandez (both three) have been the most prolific in front of goal so far this season for Leeds.
However, Saiz is now playing with a new-found confidence under Bielsa and, if he continues to get in the right areas, he should score far more when his luck turns.
Saiz managed nine goals in all competitions last season for Leeds and there is no reason why he cannot better that tally by some distance.
