West Ham United and Newcastle United are both reportedly interested in signing defender Nicolas N’Koulou from Italian club Torino.
According to a report from L’Equipe, the two Premier League sides are keen on the 28-year-old this summer, but Spanish team Sevilla are also in the race and have set their sights on him.
The 78-capped Cameroon international only made a permanent move to Torino this summer for £3.1million after impressing on loan last season with them.
L’Equipe’s report adds that Torino have already dismissed a bid from Sevilla for the centre-back, but that they could return with another offer in due course.
N’Koulou is a powerhouse defender who has a wealth of experience in French football from his time with Monaco, Marseille and Lyon, but he proved in the last campaign he is effective in Italy, too.

West Ham have already added two centre-backs to their squad this summer in the shape of Issa Diop and Fabian Balbuena, but it seems they may not be done strengthening that area of the pitch.
Meanwhile, Newcastle have had a fairly quiet transfer window compared to most so far and last season they had a brilliant centre-back pairing of Jamaal Lascelles and Florian Lejeune to rely on.
