Southampton reportedly want to try recoup £8million for the sale of midfielder Jordy Clasie amid loan interest from Feyenoord.

Feyenoord reportedly want to re-sign Southampton midfielder Jordy Clasie this summer.
According to a report from the Daily Mirror in their print edition (Page 45, 23 July), the Dutch outfit want to land their former player on loan.
However, the report adds that the Saints are hoping to offload him on a permanent basis and make back the £8million they originally signed him for from Feyenoord in 2015.
The 27-year-old has had a difficult three-year spell since his move to the Premier League and even spent last season on loan with Club Brugge in Belgium.
Clasie is a defensive midfielder that never really managed to convince supporters at St Mary’s and a return to his homeland Holland is on the cards.

Clasie would face real competition in the Southampton midfield if he did stick around for another season, with the likes of Oriol Romeu, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Stuart Armstrong and Mario Lemina in contention.
The Dutch enforcer could well rediscover his top form if he moves back to Feyenoord, but whether a Saints exit will be permanent or on a temporary basis remains to be seen.
Mark Hughes’ side are currently preparing for a new season in the Premier League and have been fairly active so far in the transfer window.
