Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Barnet goalkeeper Kai McKenzie-Lyle this summer.
According to the Mirror, the Reds are weighing up a move for the 20-year-old at non-league club Barnet.
The report explains that the 6ft 7in colossus played for Liverpool’s Under-23 side in a friendly match last week during a trial and the Merseyside club are considering an official approach.
It is understood the youngster would be competing for the number one jersey if he stays at Barnet next season, but Premier League giants Liverpool could come calling.
He has spent time in the lower leagues out on loan, but has featured once in the football league during a League Two fixture for Barnet.
Liverpool’s goalkeeping position has been a problem recently, but they appear to have solved it by signing Brazil international Alisson Becker from Roma.
The likes of Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius have flopped at Anfield, forcing Jurgen Klopp’s hand into finding a new number one.
McKenzie-Lyle is still a developing youngster that is surely miles away from Premier League football right now, but it would be a huge confidence boost if Liverpool go out to sign him this summer after his trial.
