Leicester City’s Bartosz Kapustka will have a medical today (Friday) ahead of his switch to Italian club Benevento.

According to Sky Sports Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the 21-year-old is set to join the Serie B side on loan, with an option to buy.

The transfer window shuts for Italy’s top two divisions on Friday and the Leicester winger looks set to make a deadline day switch just in time. Kapustka has had a frustrating two-year spell at the King Power Stadium and made just three first-team appearances.

The dazzling wide man announced himself at Euro 2016 with some impressive performances for his nation Poland, but has been unable to force his way into contention at Leicester since he joined.

Kapustka was loaned out to SC Freiburg last season, and looks likely to end up completing a permanent exit to join Benevento.

Leicester do have a host of first-team options in wide areas, with the likes of Marc Albrighton, Demarai Gray and Rachid Ghezzal in contention.

Kapustka will hope to reignite his stuttering career in Italy and try to fulfil the potential he showed at the 2016 Euros.
