Wolves defender Barry Douglas is reportedly set to undergo a medical ahead of a move to Leeds United.
According to Sky Sports on their live transfer blog (8:08pm, 25 July), the 28-year-old is expected to have a medical tomorrow (Thursday) ahead of a switch to Elland Road.
The report details that the Whites have agreed a fee with Wolves that could be worth around £3million depending on appearances and he now has permission to discuss terms with Leeds.
Douglas is a one-time capped Scotland international that Wolves are allowing to depart following their promotion to the Premier League.
He is an attack-minded left-back that was crucial in helping his side lift the Championship title last season, but Wolves have since completed the signing of full-back Jonny Castro from Atletico Madrid.
Left-back proved a problem area for Leeds last season with a number of different players slotting in, but Marcelo Bielsa’s side could be close to adding a proven talent.
Douglas made 42 appearances across all competitions last season, scoring five goals and supplying 15 assists in return.
The Yorkshire giants have signed Lewis Baker and Jamal Blackman on loan deals from Chelsea so far this summer, but getting a deal over the line for Wolves’ left-sided flyer could be their most impressive bit of business in recent times.
