Aston Villa have reportedly made a loan bid to sign French defender Harold Moukoudi.

Aston Villa have reportedly made an offer to sign defender Harold Moukoudi from French Ligue 2 club Le Havre.
According to Foot Mercato, the Midlands giants have tabled an offer to sign him on a season-long loan for a fee of £1million.
The report details that the offer includes an obligation to buy the centre-back next summer for £7million, but a move to Villa Park is not in the bag because the player would prefer to continue his development in France.
According to the Scottish Sun, Celtic have also been keen on signing the 6ft 3in colossus from Le Havre, while there has been recent interest from Premier League side West Ham United.
Villa can still sign players on loan up until Friday’s deadline and Steve Bruce’s squad does look a little thin on centre-backs as it stands, with Mile Jedinak and James Chester the number one pairing.

Moukoudi is an upcoming talent who is a regular starter for Le Havre, who are the same French minnows that Leicester City signed Riyad Mahrez from back in 2014.
The no-nonsense defender has represented France at Under-20 level and would bolster Villa’s options if he joined them.
