Jamie Redknapp has gone wild about Tottenham ace Harry Kane after his latest England performance.

Jamie Redknapp has waxed lyrical about “perfect captain” Harry Kane after the Tottenham centre-forward helped steer England towards the World Cup quarter-finals.
The 24-year-old is thriving this summer at the major international tournament and added his sixth goal on Tuesday night in the win over Colombia.

He is two goals clear in the race for the golden boot and finished off his spot kick in normal time, before his side edged past the South American opposition in a dramatic penalty shootout.

Redknapp was full of praise for Kane after his latest display and believes that his hard work off the pitch is paying off.
“What can I add on Harry Kane? He’s phenomenal. He is the perfect captain,” Redknapp told talkSPORT Wednesday morning.
“I think Harry Kane just sets such a great example.
“I watched the game last night with my kids and he’s such a gentleman with the way he conducts himself on and off the field.
“He is a credit to the game and he deserves all the success he is getting at the moment.”

Kane has really stepped up to the plate as England captain under Southgate and will now begin preparations for a quarter-final showdown with Sweden on Saturday.
The striker has proven he is a prolific goalscorer in recent years and it would be no surprise to see Spurs fans calling for him to replace Hugo Lloris as their club captain in the imminent future.
He is certainly grabbing the world’s attention with his performances in a Lions shirt and England fans will hope there is still more to come.
