Reading manager Paul Clement has commented on Derby County under Frank Lampard ahead of their Championship clash.

Reading boss Paul Clement is impressed by a new-look Derby County under manager Frank Lampard, as the two teams prepare to face off on Friday night in the first game of the new Championship season.
Clement, who was previously in charge of the Rams, is preparing his Reading team for the league opener.
Meanwhile, Lampard will take charge of his first competitive game as Derby boss and his team have impressed in pre-season with their high tempo and work-rate, something the Chelsea legend was renowned for as a player.
Clement has credited his former side ahead of a meeting in two days time.
“It’s an exciting game, it’s the opening game of the Championship,” Clement told Sky Sports on their transfer centre blog (4:03pm, 1 August).
“Two decent sides, two young managers with the desire to do well so really looking forward to it.
“I think they are a good side and you can see Frank’s stamp on the team, also Jody Morris’ stamp on the team as well
“You can see the work they have done with the team and are good team no doubt about it.”

Lampard has taken up his first role in management and there is now a lot of exception around Pride Park as a result.
He has made some eye-catching signings this summer in the shape of Jack Marriott, Florian Jozefoon, Mason Mount (loan) and Harry Wilson (loan) to strengthen his squad.
Lampard will be hoping to get off to a good start in his first match in charge, but comes up against an opposite number in Clement that coached him as a player.
