Ray Parlour is expecting West Ham midfielder Jack Wilshere to succeed following his switch to the London Stadium.

Ray Parlour expects summer signing Jack Wilshere to be a top player for his new club West Ham and compared him to Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas.
Wilshere, 26, ended his stay with Arsenal this summer and has linked up with their London rivals in search of more regular action.
The central midfielder was dubbed the next big thing in England when he burst onto the scene for Arsenal and will now hope he rediscovers his best touch with the Hammers.
Parlour is tipping Wilshere to succeed at the London Stadium and has recalled knowing he would reach the top when watching him as a youngster, a feeling he also had with ex-Arsenal ace Fabregas.
“West Ham have got a very good signing there,” Parlour told Sky Sports.
“We always look at his fitness record, but if he can stay fit we all know how good he is. That is what West Ham have to manage now.
“He is going to be their main man in midfield and will get a lot of game time.He is a magnificent player – there are only two players I’ve seen as youngsters come straight through to the first team that I have thought, ‘These are going to be top, top stars’.
“One was Jack and the other Cesc Fabregas.”

Wilshere is a deep-lying playmaker that can control the tempo of his side when on form, something Fabregas has made a career out of doing.
His omission from the England World Cup squad this summer will surely have hurt him, but at the age of 26 he still has time to get back into the national team picture.
The midfielder is still fondly remembered at Arsenal for his world-class individual display against Barcelona in a 2011 Champions League tie and West Ham will have some player on their hands if he can get back to anywhere near that level in an Irons shirt.
His new manager Manuel Pellegrini has made some eye-catching signings this summer, but the Arsenal ace could top the lot if he hits the ground running.
