Everton should ditch plans to offload attacker Oumar Niasse this summer.

Everton could still reportedly offload attacker Oumar Niasse this summer, but that would be a decision that could backfire on manger Marco Silva this season.

According to Skor, the 28-year-old is hoping to leave the Toffees before the end of August and Turkish club Galatasaray are offering him a way out of Goodison Park.

Gunes stated last week that Silva is willing to sanction his exit to Turkey, but he should reconsider that plan immediately.

Everton look like using Cenk Tosun as their number one centre-forward this season, leaving Niasse and Dominic Calvert-Lewin as the back-up options currently.

However, Niasse’s potential departure would just leave one senior player in reserve and it would be an unnecessary risk by the Merseyside club to let that happen.

Niasse may not be to everybody’s taste, but has proven he can chip in with vital goals and can still make a positive impact as a substitute.

The Senegal international mangled nine goals across all competitions last season despite not playing regularly and has a knack of making the difference.

His departure should at least be pushed back to January by Everton, when they can at least find a suitable replacement to their squad.
