Some Aston Villa fans have praised midfielder John McGinn after the draw with Brentford.

Aston Villa recorded a 2-2 draw against Brentford on Wednesday night in the Championship – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter were quick to praise midfielder John McGinn for his performance.

The 23-year-old continued to impress following his summer arrival from Hibernian and turned in another positive display in the centre of the park.

Villa earned a point in the Championship clash to maintain their unbeaten start to the season, with Jonathan Kodjia scoring two goals to rescue his side after going behind on two separate occasions.

The Midlands giants have been in decent form at the beginning of the campaign and will be hoping to go one better than last year after losing in the play-off finals to Fulham.

McGinn is one of the new arrivals in Steve Bruce’s squad and has looked the part in his first three games in English football.

He is a central midfielder that is technically gifted and the left-footed ace can influence play going forward.

A selection of Villa fans on social media were impressed by the efforts of McGinn against Brentford and feel he control the tempo of the play.

The Scotland international was combative in his approach and put some good crosses into the penalty area.
