He has proven he is a predatory attacker that thrives in the penalty area and is also decent in the air, something that was missing at the City Ground last season.
Forest’s top scorer last season was attacking midfielder Kieran Dowell with 10 goals in all competitions, but Karanka looks set to solve his problems in attack by bringing in someone with a proven track record.
