Leicester City are reported to have to tried to sign Stoke striker Mame Biram Diouf.

Leicester City are reportedly interested in Stoke City striker Mame Biram Diouf, but it’s difficult to see where the player would fit into the squad.
The Foxes have already made an offer for the Senegal international and it has fallen short of Stoke’s £15million valuation, according to the Sun.
Diouf, 30, has had a mediocre spell during his time in England with Stoke, bagging just 24 goals in 133 appearances. The attacker has not shown enough consistency to suggest he could cut the grade at the King Power Stadium and surely isn’t worth the eight-figure sum that Stoke reportedly want.

Leicester have been very smart this summer in their recruitment by adding real talent in the shape of James Maddison, Ricardo Pereira, Rachid Ghezzal, Danny Wad and Jonny Evans to the squad.
However, it’s difficult to see where Diouf would fit in – he would be below the likes of Jamie Vardy, Shinji Okazaki and Kelechi Iheanacho in the striker pecking order at the club.
