In-form Leeds United attacker Kemar Roofe has made a brilliant start to the season, and been one of the standout performers during the club’s three opening league victories.

The 25-year-old has thrived in the central striker role with three Championship goals already under his belt, and appears to have taken his game to another level under manager Marcelo Bielsa.

Leeds travel to Swansea City on Tuesday night in search of yet another victory, but Roofe is likely to have his toughest individual test to date.

The Swans are also undefeated and, largely down to their captain and commanding defender Mike van der Hoorn, have conceded just one goal in their opening three league matches.

Van der Hoorn is a 6ft 2in centre-back with top level experience from his time with former club Ajax, and could be one of the Championship’s outstanding defenders this season.

The 25-year-old has thrived so far this campaign with the armband, proving to be an authoritative figure who is dominant in the air and organises his backline.

Leeds’ danger man Roofe will hope to use his pace to break beyond the Swansea defence, but will need to be at his best on Tuesday evening to add to his goal tally.

It will be intriguing to see if Leeds’ expansive style of play can dismantle a well organised Swansea defence, as they have blown through everything in their path so far. One of the key battles is sure to be Roofe and Van der Hoorn, which could have a major impact on the final result.
