Leander Dendoncker praised his Wolverhampton Wanderers teammate Conor Coady after beating Sheffield Wednesday.

Leander Dendoncker made his Wolverhampton Wanderers debut in the Carabao Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night and hailed his teammate Conor Coady for his display.
Dendoncker, 23, made his first appearance since joining on loan in the summer from Anderlecht and slotted into a three-man defence.
The versatile Belgian ace can play in defence or midfield, with manager Nuno Espirito Santo deploying him as a right-sided centre-back in the cup.
The Premier League side ran out 2-0 winners at Hillsborough, as Leo Bonatini and Helder Costa got on the score sheet.
Dendoncker has talked up the importance of captain Coady to the team, claiming he is the vital leader in the heart of defence that helped him through his debut.
“For me, as a defender today, keeping the zero is maybe the most important and to not give away a lot of chances,” Dendoncker told the club’s official website.
“We spoke very well and I think Conor Coady plays a big role in that, he speaks a lot, he talks a lot and I think that’s very important.
“The defence needs to communicate a lot and I think we did well.”

Wolves successfully booked their spot in the next round of the League Cup and now have a league fixture at West Ham United this weekend.
Dendoncker will be keen to break into the Wolves starting XI on a regular basis and is a highly-rated player who is a great fit for Nuno’s side; with his flexibility a major bonus.
Coady is an ever-present in the back line and it is unlikely he will give up his starting position anytime soon.
