Jamie Carragher believes Everton need to sign two new defenders.

Jamie Carragher has delivered a rant on Everton and feels that they are miles off the pace of competing for European spots ahead of the new season.
The Toffees missed out on European football in the last campaign, but are now under new management in the shape of Marco Silva.
Everton have signed Brazilian attacker Richarlison from Watford this summer, but are yet to make improvements to their defence.
Liverpool legend Carragher is convinced that Everton need two new centre-backs in their side and is worried about the quality of their current options.
“It’s a little bit worrying for Everton now,” Carragher told talkSPORT. “There’s a lot of people who are not good enough that are playing for Everton.
“They are one of the top clubs in the country, they should always be challenging for European places and they look miles away at the moment. It’s worrying, really worrying.
“We were talking about Liverpool maybe needing a centre-back, I think Everton need two.
“It’s not easy going out there and getting centre-backs at the moment. I look at the centre-backs and I really worry.”

Everton do have an ageing back line with Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams two of their senior options at centre-back, while Mason Holgate and Michael Keane are two alternative options.
According to a report from the Mirror, the Merseyside club do hope to sign Barcelona centre-back Yerry Mina after the 23-year-old’s impressive World Cup displays for Colombia.
Everton shipped 58 goals during the 38-game league season and Keane struggled during his first year with the club following his switch from Burnley, but he will hope for a much improved second year.
