West Brom have been rebuilding this summer as they prepare for life back in the Championship and have made a number of signings following they relegation from the Premier League.

The Baggies have moved to strengthen their heart of the defence in particular, with centre-backs Kyle Bartley and Tosin Adarabioyo (loan) both moving to the Hawthorns.

However, they have reportedly beaten Championship club Leeds to both of those players and that begs the question of which side have had a better window?

According to the Sun, Leeds were interested in Manchester City defender Adarabioyo before he completed his switch to Darren Moore’s side.

Meanwhile, the Sun on Sunday print edition (Page 59, 1 July) reported that Leeds were in the transfer hunt to try re-sign Bartley from Swansea City and bring him back to Elland Road after a successful spell in the past.

Darren Moore the head coach

West Brom fans should be pleased with their business in the summer and a lot of their success has been keeping players in the squad from last season.

Bartley has shown in the past he can be a dominant force in the Championship and could be a top signing, while highly-rated youngster Adarabioyo from Man City is a 6ft 5in giant that has massive potential.

Throwing into the mix signings Sam Johnstone and Harvey Barnes too, then West Brom should be delighted with the window.

On the flip side Leeds have made some brilliant signings under Marcelo Bielsa, with the likes of Barry Douglas, Patrick Bamford and Jack Harrison (loan) just some of the players that could light up Elland Road.

However, they are perhaps still a player short at centre-back and missing out on both Bartley and Adarabioyo could end up costing them unless they find a quality alternative.
