Frank Lampard praised Jayden Bogle after he made his Derby debut against Oldham.

Frank Lampard reflected on Jayden Bogle’s senior debut as a major success after he helped Derby County defeat Oldham on Tuesday night in the Carabao Cup first round.
The 18-year-old English defender made his first ever first-team appearance in competitive football and is the latest star to come out of the club’s highly-rated academy.
Derby secured a 2-0 victory in the cup against League Two opponents Oldham due to an own goal from Sam Graham, plus a brilliant strike from attacking midfielder Mason Mount that he fired in from the edge of the box.
Bogle played the full 90 minutes in the midweek clash and will be keen for more first-team opportunities this season.
The right-back received huge praise from the manager after his encouraging display, where he showed both offensive and defensive qualities.
“Delighted for him (Bogle), he played very very well,” Lampard told YouTube channel Rams TV.
“A debut that looked like he had played many a game already. Confident, defended very well, joined in when we attacked.
“If I can I will help bring the younger players through. He has deserved that debut from the way he has approached pre-season, he’s been very good and I’m pleased for him.”

Bogle managed to impress enough in pre-season to put himself in the fold for the senior side and his debut went to script by helping keep a clean sheet.
The full-back is being integrated into the first team, but will know he has his work cut out if he wants to challenge first-choice right-back Andre Wisdom moving forward.
