Everton manager Marco Silva should target defender Marcos Rojo over Walter Kannemann this summer.

Everton certainly need an extra reinforcement at centre-back going into the new season and they have been linked with a number of defenders in this summer transfer window.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, the Toffees are keen on landing Walter Kannemann from Brazilian club Gremio and will face competition from Cagliari for his signature.
The 27-year-old does fit the description of a left-footed defender to fill a gap at Goodison Park, but he has never played in a European league and it would be a colossal risk to bring him to the Premier League.
Manager Marco Silva needs a defender to make an instant impact in his side and there is no guarantee Kannemann is that man.
However, Everton do have Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo on their radar this summer, according to the Telegraph.
The report details that the Merseyside club are keen on the 28-year-old and that Man United would sell if they receive a bid in excess of £20million.

Rojo may be a little rash at times, but is someone that has proven he can be a force in the Premier League when he is on form and is the left-footed option that could give Everton a nice balance.
The Argentinian could prove to be a bargain at around £20million if he settles at Goodison Park and it surely makes far more sense to chase him down rather than unknown talent Kannemann.
