Everton should demand another £10million more for Ademola Lookman after reportedly rejecting RB Leipzig’s opening bid.

Everton have reportedly turned down an opening bid from RB Leipzig for attacker Ademola Lookman and need to squeeze every penny out of his exit if he does leave.

The Toffees have rejected a £12million offer from the Bundesliga club, who are keen to sign him permanently this summer after he impressed on loan with them last season, according to the Daily Mirror.

Leipzig are now weighing up a second attempt to try to sign the 20-year-old and the Merseyside club are reluctant to sell him, but the player allegedly wants a fresh move after failing to cement regular football at Goodison Park.

If new Everton manager Marco Silva cannot persuade the left winger to stay in the Premier League, he needs to force Leipzig to improve their bid by at least £10million.

Lookman is a highly-rated dazzling attacker and it would be fair for Everton to value him in the same bracket as England Under-21 teammate James Maddison, with both tipped to become regulars at senior level in the future.

Sky Sports reported that Leicester City forked out £22million for play-maker Maddison and that seems to be the going rate for some of the best rising English talents.

Lookman proved during his time with Leipzig that he has huge potential, scoring five goals and supplying four assists in just 11 appearances for the Bundesliga side.

Everton can at the very least stand firm on a £20million-plus valuation to sell one of their most prize assets this summer.
