Eddie Gray credited Leeds United attacker Kemar Roofe after scoring in a pre-season victory.

Leeds United kicked off their pre-season with a 2-1 win over League Two side Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday and supporters got a first look at Marcelo Bielsa’s side in action.
The Whites gave 11 players a full 90 minute run out on the pitch, with Kemar Roofe and Luke Ayling getting themselves on the scoresheet.
It is still very much about fitness at this early stage of the campaign, but Leeds legend Eddie Gray did pick out attacker Roofe for praise after his individual performance.
The 25-year-old slotted into the centre-forward role and managed to score as a result of a corner.
“Kemar Roofe I thought did well. He lead the line and had a few chances. Probably could have left the game with a hat-trick tonight,” Gray told LUTV.

Who the main option at striker will be for Leeds in the new season is still unknown, but Roofe put his name forward in a pre-season game.
The English ace is a versatile player that can be used anywhere across the frontline and swapped between positions frequently last season.
He did manage to chip in with a decent return of 14 goals across all competitions at Elland Road in the last campaign, but it remains to be seen if he can be the senior Leeds striker aiming to hit 20-plus league goals in a promotion bid.
