Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have ripped into Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud after his France performance at the World Cup.

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud helped France reach the World Cup final after a win over Belgium on Tuesday night, and Tottenham Hotspur fans could not help but heavily criticise him for his performance.
France booked their spot in the final after a narrow 1-0 win over Belgium, as defender Samuel Umtiti headed in the vital goal.
They will now face Croatia or England in Sunday’s showdown and are likely to be heavy favourites regardless going into that match.
Giroud, 31, kept his starting spot for France in the semi-final clash and has started five of his nation’s six matches in the tournament so far.
The 6ft 3in colossus is yet to open his goal-scoring account at the World Cup this summer, but manager Didier Deschamps likes him due to his hold-up play.

Giroud is currently on the books at Stamford Bridge and is most familiar to Premier League audiences for his spell at Arsenal, where he scored 105 times in 253 appearances.
He is not a figure popular with Tottenham fans given his connection in London and a selection of them decided to give him stick on Twitter after his latest performance in a France kit.
