Derby are reportedly in talks to sign Ipswich Town striker Martyn Waghorn

Derby County are reportedly in advanced negotiations with Ipswich Town for their centre-forward Martyn Waghorn.
According to the Daily Mail, the Rams are in talks for the 28-year-old and they are preparing a bid in the region of £8million.
It is understood that Ipswich are willing to offload their striker this summer and that the player is keen to link up with manager Frank Lampard at Pride Park.
The report adds that Sheffield United have also been chasing Waghorn’s signature this summer.
Waghorn is a proven talent in the Championship and that explains why Lampard is prepared to fork out £8million to sign him.

The English attacker was a standout in an average Ipswich side last season, scoring 16 goals and supplying 13 assists in the league.
He only joined Ipswich last summer for £250,000 from Scottish giants Rangers, but his stock has risen significantly since and Derby could be set to pay that sum 32 times over.
Waghorn is a left-footed attacker that has shown he can score a variety of different goals with both his feet and head, something that Derby will hope can fire them to a promotion bid in the upcoming campaign.
