Some Leeds fans have celebrated the news of Jamie Shackleton’s new contract.

Leeds United midfielder Jamie Shackleton has signed a new contract at Elland Road – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are thrilled about the news.
The Whites confirmed on Monday that the 18-year-old has penned a new three-year deal to remain with the Yorkshire giants until 2021.
He has developed through the club’s academy and made his first-team debut at the weekend in the 4-1 win over Derby County in the Championship.
Shackleton appeared as a second-half substitute for the visitors and will hope to become a regular member of Marcelo Bielsa’s squad this season.
The central midfielder is regarded as a promising talent at Leeds and his senior debut has been followed up just days later with a new deal.
The teenager has the likes of Kalvin Phillips, Lewis Baker, Mateusz Klich and Samuel Saiz in front of him to try compete with in the first team.

Shackleton showed signs at the weekend that he is ready for a senior breakthrough and the club have not been shy to integrate academy stars to the first team in recent years.
A selection of supporters are delighted the teenager has pledged his future to them and one even stated he hopes he has a £50million release clause.
