Some Leeds United fans on Twitter are furious that they have reportedly cooled interest in Matej Vydra.

Leeds United have been heavily linked with a swoop for Derby County centre-forward Matej Vydra, but their interest may now reportedly come to an end.

The Whites have cooled interest in the 26-year-old due to his high wage demands and could walk away from talks, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The Yorkshire giants were allegedly prepared to pay £30,000-a-week wages and fork out £11million for the striker, who is highly-rated by manager Marcelo Bielsa.

Leeds’ pursuit of a new forward has been widely speculated about and it seems like they may need to find an alternative to Vydra.

They are in the hunt for West Ham target man Jordan Hugill this summer alongside QPR, according to the Sun.

Vydra scored 22 goals in all competitions for Derby last season in 44 appearances and is a proven Championship goal-scorer.

Some Leeds fans on social media believe he ticks all the boxes to be a success at Elland Road and are furious that the club have reportedly backed away from a potential deal.

The supporters are demanding that Leeds sign a new attacker to lead the line going into next season and so far in this summer window have only been left disappointed.
