Villa defender Elphick to undergo Hull medical
Aston Villa defender Tommy Elphick is set for a last-minute exit, as Sky Sports reports that he is going to have a medical will Hull City today (Friday).
It is understood that the 30-year-old could join the Championship club on loan, despite captaining Steve Bruce’s team recently in the Carabao Cup.
Villa appoint Purslow as new CEO
Villa have confirmed on Friday morning that Christian Purslow has been appointed the club’s chief executive officer and is also a minority investor.
He has previously had top experience at Premier League giants Chelsea and Liverpool, but will now turn to the “day-to-day running” of Villa.
The Midlands giants have now found a new chief executive following the departure of Keith Wyness, who was suspended in June.

Jerome agrees Derby exit to make Turkey move
According to the Daily Mirror on their live transfer blog (7:34am, 31 August), Derby County striker Cameron Jerome has agreed to join Turkish club Goztepe.
It is understood the 32-year-old has opted for a “lucrative move” to the Super Lig side and his exit is set to be finalised today.
Derby manager Frank Lampard has opted to freshen up his attacking area this summer and Jerome could be the latest forward to depart, but he has opted for Turkey over the likes of interested suitors Ipswich Town, Blackburn Roves, Hull City, QPR and Reading.
Leicester to have clearcut on deadline-day
According to the Leicester Mercury, the Foxes could have a very busy final day and offload a number of members in their squad.
It is understood that Leicester City duo Danny Simpson and Andy King are both expected to leave the King Power Stadium, but it’s unclear on if that will be permanently or on loan.
Meanwhile, the likes of Yohan Benalouane, Bartosz Kapustka, Callum Elder and Filip Benkovic could also depart.
