Gomes undergoing Everton medical ahead of loan
Everton are closing in on a loan deal for Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes, as the Daily Mail reports he is undergoing a medical.
The 25-year-old Portugal international is having his medical and will be one of three new additions announced on deadline day by the Toffees.
Gomes is set to make the temporary switch to Goodison Park, while Yerry Mina is set to join for £34million and free agent Bernard.
Brighton agree £5m deal for Wigan defender Burn
According to the Daily Mail, Brighton are close to securing a move for Wigan defender Dan Burn, after agreeing a fee of around £5million for him.
The report details that the 26-year-old centre-back will be sent straight back on loan to Championship club Wigan.
He is a colossal defender who helped Wigan win promotion from League One last season and Brighton previously had a £3million offer rejected for him.
Leicester boss Puel jokes about Manchester United-linked Maguire
Leicester manager Claude Puel has insisted that defender Harry Maguire will stay at the club despite reported interest from Manchester United, joking he will only visit Manchester for a Premier League game between the two teams.
“I can confirm he is going to Manchester but only for a couple of hours on Friday night [for the match],” Puel said, as quoted by Sky Sports.
According to the Telegraph, United saw a bid that may have reached £60million for England Maguire rejected by the Foxes.
