Everton are preparing for their EFL Cup third round tie against Norwich City and currently sit second in the Premier League table.

Former West Ham United defender Tony Gale spoke on Sky Sports News HQ about Everton’s chances of a successful season under new manager Ronald Koeman.
The Toffees have enjoyed an unbeaten start to the campaign and sit just two points behind leaders Manchester City in the Premier League as they prepare for Tuesday night’s EFL Cup clash at home to Championship side Norwich City.

Gale believes Koeman is right in taking the competition seriously as Everton look to get their hands on their first major trophy since their FA Cup win in 1995.
And while the EFL Cup is still in the early stages, the Sky Sports’ pundit spoke very highly of the Blues.
“I think they’ll go strong,” he said on Sky Sports News HQ. “I saw the last game against Yeovil and (Koeman) went really strong, I was anticipating him resting a lot of players but they just went with a strong side Everton and you think – he really wants to win this tournament.
“They’re one of my favourite sides outside of the top four or five. Everton are a good side, you go to Everton at (Goodison Park) as well. It’s a ground that has a special kind of atmosphere and it will generate that atmosphere in the cup.”

Everton have won their last five games in a row and Koeman is still yet to taste defeat as manager of the Merseyside club, and that run will be expected to extend against the Canaries on Tuesday (7.45pm kick-off).
Norwich have enjoyed a positive start on their return to the Championship and will have former Toffee Steven Naismith potentially out to prove a point against his old club, so it will not necessarily be an easy game for Koeman’s side, but a full strength line-up should progress to the fourth round.
