Norwich City maintained their unbeaten start to the 2016/17 Championship season with a 1-1 draw away to rivals Ipswich Town on Sunday.
Ipswich were in control during the earlier stages with Jonathan Douglas having a goal ruled out for offside – but it was Cameron Jerome who opened the scoring for the Canaries midway through the first half as he slotted the ball past Blues’ keeper Bartosz Bialkowski.

The visitors looked to be heading in at half-time with the lead but Ipswich full-back Jonas Knudsen had other ideas as he levelled things up in first-half stoppage time with a right-footed strike into the bottom corner.
The goal changed the complexion of the game as Norwich had been in control following Jerome’s opener but now Ipswich went into the second half with momentum as they looked to pick up their first victory over their rivals since 2009.

But there was little to choose between the sides in the second period and although Norwich came close through Steven Whittaker, the match ultimately ended in a 1-1 draw.
