Burnley were denied their second win of the season by a 95th minute free-kick from Hull City’s Robert Snodgrass as Hull City continued their positive start to the season under manager Mike Phelan.

New signing Steven Defour gave Burnley the lead in the 72nd minute with a superbly taken strike – his first goal for the club since arriving from Belgian side Anderlecht in the summer.

With the full-time whistle approaching, Sean Dyche and his Burnley team must have thought they had the points wrapped up as the match clock signaled that four minutes of added time were up.

But a late challenge by Ben Mee on Hull midfielder Tom Huddlestone gave the the visitors one a free-kick, and a last chance to salvage something from the game.

And up stepped Snodgrass to curl in a glorious equaliser and nick a point for Hull, who have now taken seven points from their first four league matches this term.
