Republic of Ireland midfielder Alan Judge could be the latest name through the door for Championship newcomers Newcastle United, according to The Chronicle.
The 27-year-old has spent the past three seasons at Brentford and was named the club’s Player of the Year last season – scoring 14 goals in 38 appearances from midfield.
Capable of playing anywhere across the midfield, the 5ft 6in Irish international is most effective in a more advanced role, with his pace, dribbling and shooting ability earning him the nickname ‘The Irish Messi’ by Bees fans and players.

And Rafa Benitez is supposedly keen to strengthen his attacking midfield options after Siem de Jong completed his loan move to PSV earlier in the week.
Judge is expected to arrive on Tyneside this afternoon to discuss personal terms and a potential medical with the club.
