Tottenham Hotspur central defender Joe Rodon is not part of head coach Antonio Conte’s plans right now, but that has not stopped him from enjoying his football with Wales at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Rodon joined French club Rennes on loan from Premier League outfit Tottenham in the summer of 2022.

Conte clearly did not think that the £11 million (Sky Sports) 25-year-old was good enough to play for him at Tottenham.

The Wales international made only three substitute appearances in the Premier League last season.

Rodon is playing much more for Rennes now.

The 25-year-old has scored one goal in nine appearances in Ligue 1 and has played five times in the UEFA Europa League for for Rennes so far this season.

Rodon was also part of the Wales squad at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Wales could not get out of their group in Qatar, but the Tottenham-owned defender is still pleased to have played in the biggest footballing competition.

The defender is disappointed that his team could not get out of their group, but he is confident that they will bounce back.
