Draymond Green admitted the reality of the Golden State Warriors’ situation after their latest loss, as the team slipped further down the Western Conference standings.

The Warriors fell to the 10th seed following a heavy 120-99 defeat to the Boston Celtics, adding pressure to an already inconsistent season.

For Green, the update was not something he had fully processed until it was put to him directly.

Green’s postgame interview captured his immediate reaction when informed about the team’s drop after the loss.

“Did we? That sucks,” Green said.

The brief response summed up the frustration around a team that has struggled to maintain consistency.

Golden State’s position reflects a season where momentum has been difficult to build, with performances fluctuating across stretches.

Despite the setback, Green pointed to a longer-term approach rather than focusing on quick fixes.

“Just got to create good habits. As long as you create good habits, all works out. You ain’t creating good habits, ain’t going to be you can’t flip a switch in this league,” Green added.

He concluded, stating: “So, create good habits, and you compete at a high level.”

The message is consistent with Green’s role as a leader, emphasising process over immediate results.

It also reflects a reality for the Warriors, their position will not change without sustained improvement rather than short bursts. For now, the focus remains on building stability in a season that has yet to fully settle.
