Nottingham Forest lost 2-0 to Reading on Saturday afternoon.
Former Nottingham Forest striker Stan Collymore has taken to Twitter after Saturday’s 2-0 defeat away at Reading, calling for ‘drastic action’.
Forest were in dismal form heading into the game, and their position hasn’t been helped by the defeat at the Madejski Stadium.
Nottingham Forest chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi
Reading claimed a 2-0 win over Forest, and it will have been particularly galling for Forest given that two of their former players – Garath McCleary and Chris Gunter – were the players to score for Reading.
With just one victory in ten games since selling star winger Oliver Burke to RB Leipzig, Forest have plummeted down the Championship table after a strong start to the campaign.
Nottingham Forest manager Philippe Montanier
After three defeats in a row, Forest lie just one point clear of the relegation zone, and pressure is mounting on manager Philippe Montanier after such a dismal run of results since the end of August.
As the dust settled on the latest defeat for 20th placed Forest, former striker Stan Collymore took to Twitter to send a message to Forest supporters – and it didn’t make for good reading.
Radio presenter and former player Stan Collymore
Collymore – who hit 41 goals in 65 games for Forest – stated that ‘drastic action’ is needed, or else Forest will become mired in a relegation battle.
Collymore added that owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi has to go immediately if Forest are to change anything, with Al-Hasawi clearly the most unpopular figure at the City Ground right now.
