Arsenal fans on Twitter have praised the deal they concluded for Kieran Tierney last summer as Ben Chilwell is now being linked with a big-money move to Stamford Bridge.
The Times have claimed that Frank Lampard’s men have made a breakthrough in negotiations for the England player.
It is said that Chilwell could cost Chelsea a world-record fee for a left-back, and whilst the rumoured prices differ, it seems as though it could be close to the £80 million mark.
Last summer, Arsenal paid Scottish Premiership champions Celtic £25 million for the services of Tierney [BBC Sport], who has proven to be a top-quality signing for the North London club.
Whilst the Scotsman struggled with injuries at the start of his career at the Emirates, he has since gone onto shine and help them lift the FA Cup.
On the other hand, Chilwell started the recently concluded campaign in a strong fashion, as it seemed as though he and Leicester were heading towards the Champions League.

But during the second half of the campaign, and especially after the restart, both Chilwell’s and the Foxes form dipped and they ended up missing out on a top-four finish.
Before Tierney stepped foot into England’s top-flight, many would have backed Chilwell to be the better player, but it could now be argued that the former is better.
Arsenal fans think if Chilwell does go for a hefty price then their deal for Tierney last summer was a stroke of genius and much better compared to what Lampard will be getting.
