Tottenham have been linked to two Southampton full-backs.

Full-backs were one of Tottenham’s big strengths in recent seasons with Kyle Walker and Danny Rose a key part of Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s success.
Walker was sold last summer and Rose has struggled badly with injuries this season, prompting Tottenham to focus with Ben Davies and Kieran Trippier.
A move for Serge Aurier has failed to work out as a success so far, and the way Tottenham are being linked with a variety of full-backs tells it’s own story that the club are not satisfied with him.
The latest right-back to be linked is Southampton defender Cedric Soares, with The Mirror reporting he is on Pochettino’s list of targets.

Cedric is the second Southampton player touted for a Spurs move.
The Sun report Spurs are among the clubs eyeing a transfer for left-back Ryan Bertrand.

Both players are solid full-backs and proven at Premier League level, but a double move for the pair would be seriously underwhelming.
Tottenham are trying to make the jump to challenge for the title and challenge in the Champions League.
A move for a pair of soon to be relegated full-backs who may only be back-ups is not going to sell tickets at their new stadium or have rivals worried.
Spurs fans would be right to question the side’s ambition if a double raid on the Saints is as far as it stretches when it comes to upgrading at full-back this summer.
