According to AS, Borussia Dortmund are hoping to strike a cheaper deal for reported Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur target Achraf Hakimi with a buyback option.
The Morocco international right-back is currently on loan at Dortmund.
Hakimi is set to return to parent club Real Madrid this summer. However, his chances of regular football at the Bernabeu appear slim with Dani Carvajal a regular there.

According to Bladi.net in April, both Spurs and Arsenal are keen to sign him.
But the Premier League duo face competition from Bayern Munich and Dortmund, with Spanish editorial AS claiming the latter are plotting a special deal to sign him.
Hakimi has a release clause of £50 million. However, Dortmund are seeking a cheaper deal but allowing Madrid to retain a buyback clause for the future.
It wouldn’t be the first time the La Liga giants have agreed on such a deal.
Carvajal joined Bayer Leverkusen, only to return to Madrid a year later. Alvaro Morata spent two years at Juventus before Madrid re-signed the Spanish striker.
Dortmund hold the advantage for Hakimi:
AS add that Hakimi sees his long-term future at Madrid, but he favours a permanent move ahead of another loan spell. This way could be the most beneficial for all involved.
Spurs may have seen Hakimi as a potential long shot. Jose Mourinho’s side must improve at right-back, with Serge Aurier having an inconsistent campaign.
Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin has been linked with an exit (FC Inter News). The Gunners could be looking at Hakimi as a potential replacement for the Spaniard.
The 21-year-old fullback has been terrific for Dortmund this season. In October, he set a new record by clocking a top speed of 22.49mph becoming the fastest player in Bundesliga history.
