Borussia Dortmund remain the ‘perfect step’ for Jude Bellingham with Bundesliga boss Edin Terzic convinced that the Liverpool and Premier League target would benefit from staying for at least another year, speaking to The Mirror.
With a 10-game winning run under their belt, Dortmund could hardly be in better form going into that Champions League last-16 clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
And Bellingham is likely to have a huge part to play as the Ruhr giants look to build on their 1-0 triumph at Signal Iduna Park a couple of weeks ago; arguably Europe’s best young midfielder afforded the opportunity to prove that he can more-than hold his own against Premier League opposition.

Liverpool, having made the former Birmingham City wonderkid their leading summer target (The Athletic), will be watching Bellingham like a hawk in West London.
Liverpool are big fans of Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham
The 19-year-old, labelled ‘world-class’ by ex-Anfield ace Emre Can, continues to be linked with a summer departure. But, when quizzed on his future, Terzic indicated that Bellingham would benefit from sticking around until 2024 at least.
“We have been answering this question since he joined,” says the former West Ham United assistant. “He chose to join us because he knows this can be the perfect step for him. And I think we’ve proven that both ways.
“He’s helping us a lot. But I also think that we, as a club on that stage, are helping him and his career as well.”
Bellingham, who would set Liverpool back a club-record fee of around £100 million, has a remarkable 16 goals and assists from 31 games this term. A goal or an assist every other game; not bad for a teenage midfielder who doesn’t even turn 20 until June.
“We’re really happy and delighted that he is part of our team,” Terzic adds. “He’s one of our leaders at the age of 19. He stepped through to the English national team as a player of BVB. This is something we’re really happy with.”
