Rangers should be looking to lure Max Lowe to Ibrox.
Rangers signed winger Brandon Barker from Manchester City last week, but may still be in the market for a couple of reinforcements before the end of the month.
The Gers may still want another striker after releasing Kyle Lafferty, whilst left back is becoming an area of concern for Steven Gerrard and co.
Borna Barisic is still disappointing many, Andy Halliday isn’t really of the quality needed there, and the same goes for right-footed Jon Flanagan.
Steven Gerrard should absolutely consider signing a new left back, and the door may be open for one of his summer targets to move to Ibrox.
The Express reported in June that Rangers were keen on signing Derby County left back Max Lowe, and with the English transfer window closed, the Gers have a real chance.
The Lancashire Evening Post recently noted that Preston North End had a bid rejected and chose not to try again, whilst a move to Brentford didn’t happen despite The Sun noting their interest.
A move to another English club won’t happen now, and Rangers must get in and try to take advantage by offering the 22-year-old a return to Scotland having impressed on loan at Aberdeen last season.
Lowe impressed with Aberdeen last term, showing his attacking ability with the Dons, and that would be a great addition to Gerrard’s side having been promised such dangerous displays from Barisic.
Lowe knows Scottish football and has huge potential, meaning he could be ideal for Gerrard’s style and recruitment approach, so with English clubs missing out, the door is open for Rangers to swoop in and take Lowe to Ibrox in their final transfer flurry.
