Some Tottenham Hotspur fans are reacting to the news that the club of a player with whom they’ve been linked may have just signed a replacement.
Tottenham are one of the sides being credited with an interest in the Watford striker Troy Deeney, following the Hornets’ relegation from the Premier League.
And, earlier on Tuesday, Watford announced that Glenn Murray had joined them on a season-long loan from Brighton & Hove Albion.
That has left several of a Watford persuasion convinced that Deeney will now be pushed towards the Vicarage Road exit door.

And the following Tottenham supporters think that White Hart Lane could be the 32-year-old’s next destination…
Deeney is likely to find regular first-team football harder to come by at Tottenham than he is at other linked clubs, owing to the presence of Harry Kane in north London.
The Birmingham native has spent the past 10 years at Watford, for whom he has scored 133 goals in 398 games across all competitions.
