Speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, David Seaman has been discussing Aaron Ramsdale and how excitable the Arsenal goalkeeper is.
Seaman was discussing Jordan Pickford with Martin Keown, and Keown said that Pickford needs to calm down between the sticks.
Seaman echoed that sentiment, claiming that Ramsdale is at risk of becoming a bit too excitable in the goal, stating that he doesn’t want his antics to progress any further.
What’s been said?
The pundit spoke about Pickford and Ramsdale’s eccentricity.
“I know exactly what you mean, he’s always looking for someone to blame, when you make a great save, enjoy your save. With Ramsdale, when I watch him, the excitement level that he’s got right now, I don’t want it to go any further because it might start getting too much, but at the moment it is working for him and like you say Martin, he really is pushing Pickford,” Seaman said.

Fine balance
There is a fine balance between being an eccentric goalkeeper and a liability, and Ramsdale has currently got the balance spot on.
He’s able to enjoy himself and show a lot of passion on the pitch while also being absolutely brilliant, but if he lets this progress any further, things could start going wrong.
As a goalkeeper, you have to make the right decisions in everything that you do, and if Ramsdale does become too excitable between the sticks, he may become a bit too rash.
Luckily, Seaman does coaching work with Ramsdale at Arsenal, so he will be able to teach him this lesson at Colney.
