
Tottenham fans on Twitter have reacted to Heung-Min Son’s comments about his side’s recent form and their current position in the Premier League table.
The 28-year-old told Sky Sports that you ‘deserve’ to be where you are but Spurs should be in a much better position than they currently are given the size of the club.
Jose Mourinho took a lot of hits for the manner in which Spurs have performed this season, but now he’s no longer there, more pressure will be put on the players.
Throughout the season, Son has been outstanding for Tottenham, but some fans feel he has tailed off of late.
And a section of the Spurs supporters think that players, such as him, as well as the team as a whole, need to step up when it matters most – like the League Cup final.
It’s a tough task for Spurs to finish in the top four this season, but whilst they worry about that, it could yet end in more disaster.
They are sitting seventh in the Premier League table and could even drop out of Europe altogether.
And if that happens then it’s not just the players who will feel the wrath of the fans, but those in the boardroom also.
Whilst Daniel Levy decided to sack Mourinho, they still haven’t brought in a replacement, which could prove to become pretty costly.
