Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to James Maddison’s comments about Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

Amid Arsenal’s interest in the creative talent, he stated over the weekend that Kane is the ‘best centre forward in the world’, as he posted on Twitter.

This comes after the Tottenham man netted a brace for his country at Euro 2020, who progressed through to the semi-finals after beating Ukraine 4-0 on Saturday.

But Arsenal fans have disagreed with Maddison’s comments, and given that he’s praised a rival player, they don’t like it.

Maddison’s name has seemingly popped up in Arsenal’s summer in-tray, and if the Gunners can pull off a surprise move for the £20 million player  (BBC Sport), then he may well be locking horns with Kane in the North London derby next season.

Nonetheless, with a certain Robert Lewandowski still working his magic over in Germany, some feel he should hold the crown of ‘best striker in the world’.

But either way, Kane, who was the Premier League’s Golden Boot winner during the 2020/21 campaign, deserves for his name to be mentioned amongst the best.

Plus, with the Englishman on three goals at Euro 2020, if the Three Lions reach the finals, then he could be in line to win another Golden Boot.

He was the top marksman at the 2018 World Cup and there’s no better way to showcase you are the best in the world by being top of that list once more.

Nonetheless, here is a selection of Arsenal fans reacting to Maddison’s comments about Kane:
