Jamie O’Hara told talkSPORT Breakfast on Thursday morning that West Ham will ‘struggle’ to keep hold of Thomas Soucek after his hat-trick for the Czech Republic on Wednesday night.

TalkSport host Laura Woods instantly responded to O’Hara’s claim by stating ‘don’t say that’ because the West Ham fans are ‘not going to like it’.

Scoring for fun in the Premier League isn’t enough for West Ham’s number six, so he has taken his game to another level by bagging a hat-trick on the international stage.

O’Hara was asked to share his thoughts on Soucek after last night’s performance and West Ham fans won’t like what he had to say regarding his future.

“He has been awesome,” said O’Hara.”He has transformed West Ham, he really has. What a player he has been for them.

“A great signing that went under the radar. But his performances have been absolutely exceptional. He has turned into a proper top player in the Premier League and they are lucky to have him. I think they might struggle to keep hold of him.”

Woods then responds and says: “Don’t say that. They are not going to like that.”

“I know but if you are Soucek and you are having a season that you are and say Manchester United or someone comes, because Man United need a player like him, then he would walk into their team.

“With his energy, his runs and he scores goals. It’s hard to keep hold of someone when you have big teams like that coming in for you.”

Bruno Fernandes and Soucek moved to the Premier League during the same January window, and whilst the Man United star gets talked up as one of the best transfers, so should the West Ham man.

It’s not only his goals that have transformed the East London club but his partnership alongside Declan Rice.

With Mark Noble coming to the end of his career, West Ham needed someone to partner Rice for the long-term, and now the Hammers have found that man.
