The goalkeeper has been hailed by fans of his club, but Reds supporters seemingly don’t think that this is a signing they should be looking at.
Liverpool have had their problems in the goalkeeping position this term. Alisson has been sidelined with injury on more than one occasion, and Adrian has looked shaky whenever he’s stepped in.
However, the emergence of Caoimhin Kelleher has seemingly filled the fanbase with confidence, and they don’t believe that a new backup is needed.
It’s hard to disagree, Cakir would almost certainly act as an understudy to Alisson, and with finances being tight due to the ongoing pandemic, Liverpool have more pressing matters to attend to.
Whether or not this is a move thet Liverpool decide to pursue remains to be seen, but it’s clear that the Anfield faithful believe this would be something of a waste of resources.
