Some Arsenal fans on social media have been reacting after Fabrizio Romano delivered a transfer update on the Gunners.
The journalist shared what he knows about the London club’s pursuit of Albert Sambi Lokonga, and it’s fair to say that it’s good news for the Gunners.
Indeed, Romano says that Lokonga wants to join Arsenal, with the 21-year-old reportedly telling both Napoli and Atalanta that he’s prioritising a move to north London.
“Lokonga is 100% open to joining Arsenal. He would love to join Arsenal, he was contacted by Italian clubs, Napoli and Atalanta, but he said ‘my priority is Arsenal’, so let’s see if Arsenal will decide to complete the deal in the next days,” Romano said on the Here We Go Podcast.
As you can imagine, Arsenal fans had plenty to say about this update, and they were urging their club to get this one over the line.
Perhaps it’s due to year after year of transfer window disappointment, or perhaps it’s due to the reported interest from Italy, but it seems as though Gunners fans are keen for this one to be rushed through as there was an air of concern around the fanbase that the club would somehow mess the Lokonga transfer up.
